(Monona) “I am honored to have the support of WEAC and the teachers and support staff they represent,” Kahl stated.  “As a parent of four children, I see the great education my two oldest are receiving in our public schools. I want to make sure that my two youngest will also have the opportunity to learn from these talented and dedicated educators when they are ready to enter school.”

Kahl has also earned the endorsement of Madison Teachers, Inc., area school board members and individual educators from throughout the 47th Assembly District.

“A solid education gives individuals the ability to turn their dreams into reality and make life better for us all,” added Kahl.   “As a business owner, I know that education is vital part of Wisconsin’s economic infrastructure. We need an educated and trained workforce available in order to compete in the global economy.   We need to recognize that investing in education is an investment in business and one of the things government can do to help business to prosper and create jobs.”

Kahl is part-owner of a small business in Monona, executive director for a non-profit organization representing the common interests of management and union labor in the construction industry, and serves on various other business and community boards.

Kahl and his wife Jennifer have been married for 15 years and have four children. Both Robb and Jennifer are active members of their community, volunteering their time to coach youth sports, serve on various city and school committees, and lead fundraising efforts for civic and school causes.

The newly configured 47th Assembly District includes all of McFarland and Monona, part of the cities of Fitchburg and Madison, and all or part of the towns of Cottage Grove, Blooming Grove, Dunn and Madison.
