The Wisconsin Corn Growers’ Association (WCGA) political action committee – CORN PAC – has endorsed Robb Kahl in his bid for the 47th Assembly District seat.

(MONONA) “I am honored to receive the endorsement of Wisconsin’s Corn Growers,” Kahl stated.  “My parents were raised on farms in Dane County and I spent the summers with my grandparents working on those farms.  The work I did instilled in me a tremendous amount of respect and admiration for Wisconsin farmers and I want to thank the members of the WCGA for their support.”

The 47th Assembly District is diverse in that it has urban as well as rural areas.

“Farmers in the towns Dunn, Blooming Grove, and Cottage Grove and elsewhere in Dane County have a lot to contend with in a good year.  The drought this year has put even more on their plates,” Kahl said.  “It is my hope that the approach I will bring to state government of listening to concerns, researching the issues and working with members from both sides of the aisle will provide farmers and other residents of the district with confidence in the legislative process.”

Kahl is part-owner of a small business in Monona, executive director for a non-profit organization representing the common interests of management and union labor in the construction industry, and serves on various other business and community boards.

Kahl and his wife Jennifer have been married for 15 years and have four children. Both Robb and Jennifer are active members of their community, volunteering their time to coach youth sports, serve on various city and school committees, and lead fundraising efforts for civic and school causes.

The newly configured 47th Assembly District includes all of McFarland and Monona, part of the cities of Fitchburg and Madison, and all or part of the towns of Cottage Grove, Blooming Grove, Dunn and Madison.
